On Monday 28th April, 2008, Otago NORML's mystery chef gave a demonstration of how to prepare edible cannabis medicines that allow consumers to avoid the hazards of smoking. The cooking demonstration was complementary to Green Party MP Metira Turei's talk about medicinal cannabis in New Zealand as part of the first annual Otago University Cannabis Awareness Week. The demonstration was held on the Otago University Union Lawn.
