Otago NORML - Overgrowing Dunedin with cannabis truth!

This area of the site is intended as a resource for people wishing to compare the harmful effects of Alcohol and Cannabis.

It has occurred to us here at Otago NORML that there is a stange juxtaposition between the fact that alcohol wreaks obvious and expensive havoc in our community, yet it remains legal. While cannabis, which causes a lesser degree of obvious harm in our community is strictly prohibited.

In early 2008 Otago University students were treated to Dunedin's first annual Cannabis Awareness Week. The aim was to inform the Dunedin community about the facts surrounding the cannabis plant and it's use by humankind, with a view to highlighting the differences between the effects and consequences of cannabis use and alcohol use.
